Working for the policy officer for a national charity you will be required to provide a wide range of administrative and practical support. Maintain paper and computer based system’s, researching for specific projects. You will also assist the policy officer at meetings and other events in locations throughout the UK. This role involves considerable travel.
This is an exciting and interesting opportunity for the right person. You will work from home predominantly therefore a lap top will be provided. The Policy Officer is partially blind and has a guide dog. You will be required to read information to the policy officer and drive her to meetings, a car will be provided for this. Therefore you must have a full driving licence.
The policy officer is looking for someone she can work with on a personal level and as it will be just the two of you working together you must have the temprament to be able to get along with anyone. You may be required to go along to government buildings and introduce the policy officer to relevant people. Some meetings are held in locations throughout the UK and you will be expected to travel with the policy officer tot hose meetings.
You will be able to demonstrate excellent admin and secretarial skills and you will also be confident, a good organiser and self motivated.
