| This company has over 40 years experience in providing design and manufacturing solutions to its customer base. Core activities focus on the automotive sector serving a range of world class manufacturing partners throughout the UK. Our client is undergoing a major re-investment programme, including hardware and software, relocation to a custom built design studio and investment in extending the design team. Candidates will be required to occasionally travel to key clients and applicants who wish to work from home will also be considered. Duties of the job: • To provide a full design service ensuring both new and current products meet customer requirements. • You will strive to create new business through existing established contacts • Work closely with engineering team providing a key role in ensuring that Product Leadership is maintained with establishing new/unique designs from first principles whilst utilising latest developments in materials and production methods. • To maintain, co-ordinate and control a documented system for product drawings, material and process specification, to meet and satisfy company/customer standards Candidate Requirements: • It is essential that you have 5 years plus experience in design engineering (automotive preferred) j • Knowledge and track record in the design of fixtures, gauges and tooling is essential. • You will have a proven high level of competence in leading design packages such as Inventor, Caria or Solid Works. • Exposure to and experience in quotation and commercial activities would be preferable. |
