Our client is a well established precision engineering company operating within the manufacturing industry for over 25 years. They have traditionally manufactured tools, jigs, fixtures, and special purpose machinery, as well as offering sub-contract machining for customers. Due to expansion an exciting opportunity has become available for a Production Engineer to join this growing company.
General duties of the job:
• To improve capability of the manufacturing process and to generally encourage a culture that focuses on safety, quality and production in line with customer requirements.
• Set and programme CNC machinery
• Implement and oversee installation of new equipment.
Candidate Requirements:
• HNC / HND (mechanical bias) or equivalent experience, with at least 2 years experience in manufacturing.
• Experience of setting and programming CNC machinery.
• IT abilities with a good knowledge of AutoCAD packages would be advantageous
• Applicants will need to demonstrate problems solving and analytical skills.
• A team-player, self-starter, able to take responsibility for planning own work and actions.
• Able to work closely and successfully with people throughout the business, at all levels and functions.
