Full Description:
My client, a well know law firm based in Swansea City Centre are looking to recruit a Deputy Processing Centre Manager in the Finance Team to work on a fixed Term basis to cover maternity cover.
As a successful candidate you will supervise the day to day running of the Finance Processing Centre, working closely with the Processing Centre Manager and ensure that all deadlines are met.
The main aspects of the role are as follows:
• Bank Reconciliation
• To provide relevant cash flow information to the Financial Controller.
• Updating the system for any changes in base rate or bank interest rate.
• To ensure month end procedures are carried out to deadlines.
• Other Reconciliations
• To support the Processing Centre Manager with SAR regulations and queries.
• To support the Processing Centre Manager with the SAR and Financial audit.
• Resolve complex issues on client ledgers raised by Fee Earners.
To resolve other queries as and when required.
• Will be required to assist fee earners in reconciling client ledgers. The work follows laid down procedures with the Processing Centre Manager available for decision.
• Suggestions for improvements within workflows / systems will be welcomed.
• The use of initiative is required as different issues arise from time to time which cannot be foreseen.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
1. Education to GCSE Grade C level or above in Maths and English.
2. High level of numeracy in order to interpret data and calculate figures.
Keyboard/IT skills in use of word, accounts software, excel etc.
3. Methodical approach, accuracy and rule keeping and attention to detail.
4. At least two year's experience in a legal environment or 2 years accounts experience as
relevant to the work.
5. Previous experience of preparing and completing bank reconciliations is essential.
6. Previous experience of supervising a team would be beneficial.
