| Our clients are an established manufacturer of equipment for the defence and aerospace markets with an enviable record of success. They currently have a vacancy for a costing engineer to co-ordinate all defined customer enquiries for quotation by breaking down materials and labour times, also to support production and new product development. Duties/Responsibilities • Ability to understand Customer drawings and specification sheets. • Ability to communicate with Customers, Suppliers and internal customers • Support and develop production in understanding of drawings and specifications. • Help purchasing in sourcing and developing new suppliers. • Responsible for any technical issues that arise from production or customers • Sourcing approved tooling and alternative components to customer specifications. • Ensure project deadlines are achieved through regular • The generation of Bills of materials and labour time estimation. • Support NPI until completion of FAI approval and sign off. Candidate requirements • Previous experience in a customer-facing role is desirable. • Strategic thinker, results focused and success orientated with good negotiation skills. • God communicator both oral and written • General enthusiasm to foster relationships at all levels. • HNC, ONC, equivalent or working towards |
