Job Elements
• Primary link between the customer and the development team.
• Ensure the functional, durability and performance parameters of the product meet both the project and customer expectations
• Ensure development project costs are kept within budget
• Support the RFQ process as required
• Involved in the generation and implementation of cost down ideas
• Manage the development process according to procedures ;
o Managing the prototype build requirements
o Manage the verification and validation test requirements
o Lead the DFMEA
o Lead the customer project and design reviews
The ideal candidate will have:
• An engineering degree or HNC as a minimum
• At least 2 years experience in managing customer design projects within the automotive industry.
• Experience in APQP and operating within a quality system
• Experience in managing prototype and test programmes
• Able to demonstrate commercial awareness
• Foreign language capability would be advantageous
