Manufacturing Manager
Port Talbot
£40,000 - £45,000 Plus Benefits

As Europe's second largest steel producer, our client is a customer-focused innovative company which manufactures, processes, and distributes steel throughout the world. An opportunity has now arisen for a Manufacturing Manager to join their team.

For this role our client is seeking to recruit a strong leader with a manufacturing/production environment, to take responsibility for all day to day manufacturing activities, as well as monitoring the manufacturing performance of the business.

As the Manufacturing Manager, your duties will include:
- Co-ordinating, directing and developing manufacturing teams to establish sound practices including 5S, lean manufacturing and TQP
- Managing the planning and co-ordination of production planning activity
- Planning short-range process routes and production schedules on a day to day basis
- Motivating, training and developing the Manufacturing team
- Making improvements in productivity, cost efficiency and quality
- Maintaining quality performance by ensuring that adequate standards are laid down for all process operations

To be considered for this position you must have proven leadership/management experience gained within a production or manufacturing environment.

As a Manufacturing Manager you will also need to demonstrate good communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to lead from the front.
